One of the most important details to preserve was the original Victorian checkerboard pathway tiles. Where damage had occurred over the years, replica tiles were sourced and installed with care to maintain the character and heritage of the entrance.
Inside, the home was extensively remodelled and extended to create a spacious four-bedroom layout better suited to modern life. At the heart of the property is now a large open-plan kitchen and dining space designed for everyday living, entertaining and family gatherings. A separate utility room helps keep the practical side of life tucked away, whilst a dedicated study provides quiet space for home working.
Upstairs, the extension allowed for the addition of a modern principal bedroom ensuite, giving the home a more balanced and functional layout for contemporary family living.
Behind the walls, the property was completely upgraded throughout with new plumbing, a full rewire and a new boiler installation, ensuring the home performs as well as it looks. New bathrooms, flooring and a carefully selected kitchen completed the internal refurbishment.
